Join us this February for the first sherry tasting and tapas evening at The Halkin’s Michelin-starred Ametsa restaurant.
Whether it’s your drink of choice or an occasional tipple, the new sherry tasting evenings, which begin this month at The Halkin in London’s Belgravia, are a must for anyone with a penchant for the fortified wine.
Led by Alvaro Prieto, sommelier at The Halkin’s Michelin-starred Basque restaurant Ametsa with Arzak Instruction, this early evening session explores the history of sherry and its different varieties.
Described by wine critic Jancis Robinson as “the world's most neglected wine treasure”, a total of five sherries will be provided for tasting, matched with a light menu of five tapas dishes from the Ametsa kitchen.
Sherry masterclasses will take place on the third Tuesday of each month, and the first one takes place on February 18th at 6.30pm. The price is £30 per person.
The evening can be extended with a two-course meal at Ametsa for the additional price of £35 per person.
