Healthful juice drinks designed our nutritionist to target specific wellbeing goals
The signature COMO Shambhala line of wellness juices is to roll out globally at all COMO Hotels and Resorts properties in 2014.
This new menu features ten beverages - all extractions and blends of fresh fruits and vegetables prepared by the glass using nutritious recipes developed by COMO Shambhala dietician Eve Persak. The juices - already favourites of guests at our flagship wellness retreat COMO Shambhala Estate in Bali - will be available for all COMO guests worldwide from January 2014.
The ingredients in each juice combine to provide therapeutic benefits which balance, stimulate, settle, nourish, or relieve certain systems within the body. Berry Quencher is an antioxidant-rich smoothie of dark-colored berries to ward off free radicals and counteract the effects of aging and stress. Muscle Mylk is a creamy mixture of coconut, banana, almond, and cocoa bean which refuels and accelerates post-workout recovery. Liven Up Your Liver boosts liver function and cleanses the blood with a potent blend of green apple, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, ginger, and turmeric.
COMO nutritionist Eve Persak, who is based at COMO Shambhala Estate in Bali said: "We are excited to provide our guests an opportunity to add intention to even the smallest aspects of their COMO experience. Our guests enjoy tailoring their juice selections to correspond to their personal health needs, their current wellness goals, or even their daily schedule of activities. It's enjoyable to watch their surprise when they realize their nutritious drink is delicious, too."
The juices and blends will be available at every COMO property around the world, including its urban ‘Metropolitan’ hotels in Bangkok and London, ‘Uma’ adventure retreats in Bali and Bhutan, and private island resorts in the Turks and Caicos and the Maldives. They will also be available at COMO’s three newest properties: Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach, Point Yamu by COMO, Phuket and Maalifushi by COMO, The Maldives.

Berry Quencher: Powerful berries protect against early ageing by delivering a concentrated source of antioxidants and phytonutrients in this superfood smoothie. Contains green apple, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries.
Waterfall: This system-flushing refresher relieves bloating and water retention, supports kidney function and can help reduce weight and blood pressure. Contains cucumber, celery, fennel, pear, parsley and mint.
Tropic Aid: This hydrating quencher contains fresh mango, pineapple, orange, lime and coconut. It’s packed with electrolytes and provides fast fuel for active muscles.
Vital Veg: Seasonal, locally-grown vegetables including tomato, carrot, celery, capsicum, cucumber, fennel, pumpkin, parsley, basil and a dash of zesty lemon help to promote circulation and protect brain and heart function.
Lean and Clean Greens: Build lean muscle, boost energy and immunity, and bolster the body’s natural detox systems with this cleansing juice containing apple, celery, cucumber, lettuce, lemon, fennel, spinach, sunflower seeds, macadamia and spirulina.
Muscle Mylk: Speeds recovery and reduces muscle inflammation after a work-out with this creamy booster packed with replenishing electrolytes and nutrients. Contains banana, young coconut water, coconut meat, cinnamon, almond milk, flax seeds, dates and cocoa beans.
Stress Reliever: A calming cocktail of carrot, red apple, pomegranate, ginger, spinach, fennel and beetroot to soothe the nervous system and balance hormones.
Immune Boost: This strengthening juice helps fight infection and strengthen immunity thanks to a combination of antioxidant orange, grapefruit, lemon and healing Echinacea.
Blood Builder: Carrot, beetroot, pineapple, apple and ginger come together to cleanse the blood, improve circulatory flow, boost immunity and lift mood.
Beta Clarity: This skin-softening juice soothes and clarifies the skin and helps improve vision with carrot, sweet pepper, celery, fennel, papaya, lemon and coconut oil.
Digest: This blend aids digestion and alleviates abdominal bloating with pineapple, guava and mint.
Liven Up Your Liver: This vitalising blend supports liver function and helps cleanse the blood with green apple, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, ginger and turmeric.
Culture Shock: This tropical smoothie helps restore digestive balance and repair the skin with banana, passion fruit, orange, strawberry and rambutan.
