Position: Director of People & Culture

Reporting to: Managing Director
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead the HR department, overseeing recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and development.
- Advise managers on employee coaching, development, conflict resolution, and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with Turks and Caicos labor laws and provide training on regulatory changes.
- Identify performance trends and recommend effective employee relations strategies.
- Regularly update the employee handbook, HR forms, policies, and procedures to maintain consistency and accuracy.
- Manage immigration/visa processing.
- Collaborate with internal departments to enforce and uphold policies and procedures.
- Work with leadership to address training needs and strategies.
- Oversee employee safety, health, and wellness programs to ensure compliance and safety.
- Develop succession planning and leadership development programs.
- Support diverse hiring, employee engagement, and cultural awareness initiatives.
- Oversee HRIS implementation and management to improve efficiency.
- Provide regular HR metric reports (e.g., turnover, retention) to executive leadership.
- Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Stay current on government regulations, industry trends, and HR best practices.
- Manage salary structures and the salary increase process.
- Ensure the employee database is accurate and up-to-date.
- Develop recruitment strategies and partner with hiring managers to meet staffing needs.
- Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to promote inclusivity.
- Manage all phases of the interview and selection process.
- Collaborate on COMO Approach Initiatives with the Sustainability Department, identifying sustainability opportunities and educating employees on sustainable practices.

Key Requirements:
- Minimum seven (7) plus years of solid HR generalist experience, luxury AAA 4 or 5 Diamond rated hotel experience preferred. Broad exposure in all facets of Human Resources a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and application of employment laws
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills, able to establish credibility
- Flexible and adaptable, able to work under pressure.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Well organized with good written and verbal communications skills.
