Our smallest, most jewel-like Uma lodge sits on a small hill at the western end of the Punakha Valley above the Mo Chhu river. It seems to breathe a different air, and is ideally located for Himalayan exploration, for village treks, temples, festivals, and whitewater rafting.
Our resort is a five-hour drive from our sister property, COMO Uma Paro, and the nearby international airport. It is a more remote experience deep into the Himalayas.
From butter lamp ceremonies and Bhutanese whisky tastings to visiting village artisans and cycling through Himalayan forests, experience the culture and landscapes of this mountain kingdom.
Join a traditional butter lamp ceremony at a Bhutanese temple. In Buddhist practice, lighting the lamps symbolises the dispelling of ignorance and the arrival of wisdom.

Named after the traditional Bhutanese fireplace, Bukhari is the warm heart of our resort - a restaurant serving produce from Punakha Valley. The food is healthy, wholesome and full of flavour, from Bhutan and India, with some international favourites too.
