This April, join us at COMO The Treasury — in Perth’s historic State Buildings — throughout April for an exciting programme of events celebrating the natural and cultural heritage of Perth (Boorloo).
Sample iconic vintages from two of West Australia’s foundling wineries, carefully chosen for you by our Director of Wine Emma Farrelly.
Throughout April, we will be pouring iconic vintages at Wine Merchant, giving you the chance to enjoy classic wines from two of West Australia’s oldest and most established vineyards: Vasse Felix ‘Premier’ Cabernet Sauvignon and Nikola Estate Chenin Blanc.
Join us in celebrating the diverse cultural fabric of our city with a guided tour of the State Buildings and the surrounding Cathedral Square.
Guided by acclaimed architect Ronald Bodycoat, you’ll discover the rich history, art and architecture behind these iconic sites, identify unique design features and learn how their use has evolved over time.
After your tour, enjoy coffee and cake at SHOP 1875.
Join us in the Cape Arid Rooms where we will dive deeper into the history of Perth Point Zero, the centre point of the city.
Situated on the southeast corner of the Old Treasury building, Perth Point Zero is the point from which all worldwide distances to and from the city are measured.
In this talk, we’ll delve into why this point was chosen nearly 100 years ago, and the history of the point on the map that forms the city’s official heart.
