Discover Burgundy’s rich cultural history and architectural magnificence with this full-day guided tour, including lunch at the renowned Château du Clos de Vougeot and a guided visit to the beautiful town of Beaune, home to the region’s most prestigious wine houses.
Your day will commence at 9.50am, when your private chauffeur will collect you from COMO Le Montrachet and take you to the Castle of Le Clos de Vougeot, which stands at the heart of Burgundy’s vineyards. Here you will meet your guide and take a private tour of the castle’s medieval vat-house and presses, Cistercian cellar and original kitchens, before enjoying a four-course lunch with carefully curated wine pairings.
After lunch, you will depart with your private guide to the beautiful walled town of Beaune, where you will wander the cobbled streets and take in the magnificently preserved historic architecture. Your tour will include a private visit of elegantly gothic Hospices de Beaune, where you will learn about its history as a centre of Renaissance healthcare to its present-day role as the site of the world-famous Les Trois Glorieuses charity wine auction.
