About COMO Cordeillan-Bages

Once a quiet wine estate, Château Cordeillan was revived by the Cazes family in 1986 as a welcoming retreat rooted in Médoc’s wine traditions. Guided by partners in gastronomy, design and wine education, it evolved into an elegant hotel that celebrated learning, connection and the pleasure of good wine. Since opening in 1989, the château has become a recognised culinary and cultural destination. As COMO Cordeillan-Bages, it continues to reflect the art of living in the Médoc.

The COMO Eye for Design

The château’s interiors have been reimagined by celebrated Italian designer Paola Navone, blending contemporary clarity with respect for the heritage architecture. A palette of greys, whites and metallic blues introduce a sense of understated elegance, while tactile textiles, custom furniture and lime-washed walls add depth and character. The result is a cohesive, timeless aesthetic that balances light and shadow, form and function.

Accessibilty

We have two rooms suitable for guests with reduced mobility. However, some rooms are not accessible via lift. To ensure we can offer the most suitable room for your stay, we are happy to advise you prior to booking.

We also offer a range of equipment on request, including a portable induction loop, wheelchairs, telephones and remote controls with large buttons, and vibrating alarm clocks.

Sustainability

We are committed to protecting both the planet and our wine-growing region. We use water- and energy-efficient equipment, and carefully sort waste to encourage recycling . We invite guests to join us in these efforts during vineyard visits and while exploring the surrounding countryside. During your stay, our concierge can also arrange hiking and cycling tours through the vineyards of Pauillac.
