Day Trip on the Atlantic Coast

Several landmarks of France’s Atlantic coast are within 90 minutes’ drive of COMO Cordeillan-Bages, including Dune du Pilat, the Cap Ferret peninsula, and the seaside town of Arcachon.

Hourtin — a 30-minute drive from COMO Cordeillan-Bages — has one of Europe’s largest freshwater lakes, offering sailing, kayaking, and family-friendly swimming. For more lakeside adventures, Carcans-Maubuisson is a further 40-minute drive from Hourtin.

Slightly further afield, you’ll find the relaxed surfing town of Lacanau, and Soulac-sur-Mer with its Romanesque Basilica of Notre-Dame-de-la-Fin-des-Terres.
