About your host

Born in the French Alps, a few hours from the Rhône Valley vineyards, Edouard Payot developed an early fascination with the people, places and stories behind great wines.

After studying politics and finance in France and the UK, Payot joined Maison Chapoutier in Australia in 2012. His career has since taken him from Melbourne to Dubai and Singapore, sharing Rhône Valley wines with audiences around the world.

Today, he leads Maison Chapoutier’s development across Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and Global Travel Retail, working with leading importers, luxury hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, retailers and international airlines.
