Golfing in Bordeaux

Cabot Bordeaux is home to two distinct 18-hole courses offering contrasting styles of play. 

'Châteaux', former host of the French Open, was American Bill Coore’s first and only European endeavour, which he completed with gifted Canadian course architect and frequent collaborator Rod Whitman in 1989. Whitman’s neighbouring solo design, 'Vignes', debuted two years later.

'Châteaux' is a classic heathland-inspired layout with firm, fast turf and strategic risk-reward decisions throughout. 'Vignes' weaves through pines and heather in a more intimate, parkland-meets-moorland setting that rewards precision and thoughtful shot-making.
