Half-day Trip to Île de Patiras
Accessible by boat from Pauillac, Île de Patiras is a small island in the Gironde estuary. It sits between the Médoc and Blaye, within a protected natural environment. Alongside pretty estuary views, visitors may see a variety of coastal and wetland birdlife including grey herons, little egrets and migratory species such as sandpipers and common terns.
The trip departs from Pauillac, with a 15-minute boat crossing to the island. Once there, you’ll have the chance to explore the natural ecosystem for yourself, and visit the island’s lighthouse. The island has a small restaurant where you will enjoy a simple lunch and local wines.
