Where is COMO Shambhala Estate located and how do I get there?

COMO Shambhala Estate is a luxury wellness retreat in a private 22-acre forest north of Ubud, Bali. It's about a 90-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) and just 15 20 minutes from Ubud town. Private airport transfers and car charters can be arranged upon request.

What types of rooms and villas are available?

The estate offers terrace suites, multi-suite residences, and private villas with one to three bedrooms. Select villas include private infinity pools and outdoor jacuzzis, while residences come with shared pools and communal lounges-all with views of the jungle or Ayung River.

What wellness facilities are on the estate?

Wellness amenities include nine treatment rooms, open-air pavilions, a 25m lap pool, a spring-fed vitality pool, fully equipped gyms, steam and sauna rooms, yoga and Pilates studios, and a jungle gym. Additional facilities include a tennis court, rock-climbing wall, library, and wellness boutique.

What wellness programs and treatments are offered?

COMO Shambhala Estate offers two flexible wellness options:

  • Multi-day wellness programs (known as Wellness Paths) such as Integrated Wellness, Ayurveda, Fit to Perform, Nourish to Glow, and Connect to Rebalance. These include health diagnostics, Ayurvedic or TCM consultations, holistic treatments, movement classes, and COMO Shambhala Cuisine.
  • À la carte wellness treatments, allowing guests to enjoy individual therapies such as shirodhara, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, contrast therapy, or massages without committing to a full retreat.

Are wellness treatments supervised by qualified specialists?

All treatments are supervised by qualified specialists including Ayurvedic doctors, nutritionists, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and yoga masters-offering personalized, expert-led care.

What cultural and nature-based activities can guests enjoy?

On-site and off-site experiences include:

Are there minimum stay requirements for wellness retreats?

  • Wellness Paths: A minimum stay of three to six nights is required, depending on the selected programme.
  • Standard bookings: No minimum stay is required; however, we recommend three nights or more to fully benefit from the Estate's holistic experiences, facilities, and natural setting.
