A Michelin-Starred Culinary Celebration

In aid of Zia Caterina

In aid of Zia Caterina

Join us for an evening of Michelin-starred Italian gastronomy in aid of children’s cancer charity Zia Caterina.

Set on our terrace overlooking the Chianti hills, chefs, pastry chefs, bakers, pizzaioli and mixologists will prepare and present their creations at live cooking stations, allowing guests to discover different culinary styles and engage directly with the names behind the dishes.

All ticket proceeds are donated to Zia Caterina, which supports children undergoing cancer treatment by providing hospital transport and joyful moments.

ABOUT THE CHEFS

Executive Chef

Giovanni Luca Di Pirro is the award-winning Executive Chef at COMO Castello Del Nero, where he leads the culinary identity of La Torre. Born in Romagna and raised in a family of chefs, he developed a passion for simplicity, precision and ingredient-driven cuisine from an early age. Over the course of his career in Italy, the United Kingdom and France, he has worked alongside a number of notable chefs, further refining his philosophy rooted in Tuscan and Italian produce. His approach is expressed through dishes that balance purity, seasonality and contemporary technique.

Founders of Verso

Remo and Mario Capitaneo, originally from Foggia, began their culinary journey at a young age, moving to Milan to refine their craft. Their careers have been shaped by formative experiences alongside some of the most respected names in contemporary Italian cuisine, including Enrico Bartolini, Andrea Berton, Enrico Crippa and Carlo Cracco. Through their work, they present a contemporary expression of Italian gastronomy defined by balance, clarity and attention to detail.

In January 2023,  Remo and Mario Capitaneo opened Verso, an intimate restaurant overlooking Piazza Duomo. Within its first year, Verso was awarded two Michelin stars, marking a remarkable milestone in their journey. They have also been recognised as Ambassadors by ItaliaSquisita, a leading platform dedicated to documenting and celebrating contemporary Italian cuisine and its key figures.
