La Torre’s identity is shaped by its historic surroundings: a twelfth-century castle with vineyards, olive groves and a thriving kitchen garden. The wine cellar is a particular highlight — part of the estate’s centuries-old winemaking tradition, where barrels were carefully nurtured and aged for the household and vineyards.
The COMO Eye For Design
La Torre’s interiors reflect the vision of Italian designer Paola Navone. Natural textures, soft tones and artisanal details honour the building’s history while creating an atmosphere that feels calm, refined and unmistakably COMO. The design enhances the dining experience, allowing the focus to remain on craftsmanship, flavour and the restaurant’s deep connection to the estate.
At La Torre, sustainability begins on the estate. Our organic garden supplies seasonal vegetables and herbs — including 13 varieties of tomatoes — used daily in the kitchen to reduce external sourcing and ensure peak freshness. We work closely with trusted local producers, such as family-run Bacci Frutta in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, supporting sustainable agriculture across the region. Excess ingredients are thoughtfully repurposed into meals for our team, minimising waste and reinforcing a culture of responsibility.
The Michelin-starred restaurant is a haven of refined dining, serving contemporary cuisine inspired by the land. Chef Giovanni Luca Di Pirro brings together local produce, thoughtful technique and global influences to create dishes that feel expressive, balanced and deeply connected to the region.
