Key Surf Atolls

A full time Tropicsurf guide is based exclusively at COMO Maalifushi from April to October. Guests can learn surfing from scratch, brush-up on existing techniques, and get recommendations for how to progress their skills. 

For guests who want to experience everything, a Surf Pass grants access to some of finest breaks and most secluded surf spots in the region. Tropicsurf guides will escort you to surfing at three atolls — the surf ‘Machine’ at Laamu, ‘Farms’ at Thaa, and the ‘Kasabu’ at Dhaalu.

Farms

‘Farms’ is located about 25 minutes by speedboat away from our resort, and is considered one of the best waves in the Maldives. A less-visited spot, it offers excellent waves for both beginners and experienced surfers due to its unmatched reef breaks and unspoilt natural beauty. 

Laamu Atoll ‘Machine’

Meanwhile, the Laamu Atoll ‘Machine’ is recommended for advanced surfers looking for a challenge. The lack of channel and high sea wall means it requires a lot of work to surf, but it’s worth it for the best righthander in the area.
