Tasks/Responsibilities:
Responsible for all functions and activities as it relates to Guest water sport activities.

  • Oversee excursions staff about boats and other excursions equipment.
  • Must be able to work with clients and colleagues in a calm and professional manner.
  • Have a good understanding of high service standards, a professional attitude and ethics.
  • Take ownership and ensure that the designated boats are maintained in a good and working condition at all times.
  • Brief and supervise staff as required
  • To ensure that guests receive a fast, efficient and safe excursion.
  • Help keep inventory of the safety equipment and other equipment on board and maintain them, Inform Manager if equipment is expired or used.
  • Have a good understanding of high service standards, a professional attitude and ethic.
  • Stay attentive to the hotel operations and offer assistance as and when needed.
  • Communicate concerns of your team to your superiors.
  • Be a leader to be looked upon and act as a showcase of proper attire and behaviour anywhere near the hotel premises.
  • Provide positive and memorable water sports and activity experiences.
  • Ensuring required documentation is completed as outlined by management.
  • To anticipate our guests' needs and wishes, and surpass their expectations.
  • To care for our environment, and lead by example in environmental awareness & responsibility.
  • Ensure that department duty rosters and reports are submitted on daily basis to the appropriate persons.
  • Establishment of monthly and annual leave planner and submitted to the appropriate persons for approval, with manning levels and leave kept to minimum.
  • Completing the daily bill summaries, accounts, inventories & reports and supplying these to the appropriate departments on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as outlined.
  • Handle any guest complaint in a professional manner.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in recreation, hospitality, education, or related field preferred.
  • Two plus years of experience in recreation, event planning, or activity coordination.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • CPR/First Aid certification may be required.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and risk management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Creativity in program design and execution.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and schedules.
