Tasks/Responsibilities:
Responsible for all functions and activities as it relates to Guest water sport activities.
- Oversee excursions staff about boats and other excursions equipment.
- Must be able to work with clients and colleagues in a calm and professional manner.
- Have a good understanding of high service standards, a professional attitude and ethics.
- Take ownership and ensure that the designated boats are maintained in a good and working condition at all times.
- Brief and supervise staff as required
- To ensure that guests receive a fast, efficient and safe excursion.
- Help keep inventory of the safety equipment and other equipment on board and maintain them, Inform Manager if equipment is expired or used.
- Have a good understanding of high service standards, a professional attitude and ethic.
- Stay attentive to the hotel operations and offer assistance as and when needed.
- Communicate concerns of your team to your superiors.
- Be a leader to be looked upon and act as a showcase of proper attire and behaviour anywhere near the hotel premises.
- Provide positive and memorable water sports and activity experiences.
- Ensuring required documentation is completed as outlined by management.
- To anticipate our guests' needs and wishes, and surpass their expectations.
- To care for our environment, and lead by example in environmental awareness & responsibility.
- Ensure that department duty rosters and reports are submitted on daily basis to the appropriate persons.
- Establishment of monthly and annual leave planner and submitted to the appropriate persons for approval, with manning levels and leave kept to minimum.
- Completing the daily bill summaries, accounts, inventories & reports and supplying these to the appropriate departments on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as outlined.
- Handle any guest complaint in a professional manner.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in recreation, hospitality, education, or related field preferred.
- Two plus years of experience in recreation, event planning, or activity coordination.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid certification may be required.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and risk management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Creativity in program design and execution.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and schedules.
