Position: Bartender
Base Location: Parrot Cay
Department: Food and Beverage
Reporting to: Restaurant Manager
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Follow the assignment given by the supervisor/ manager.
- Keep the bar and surrounding area clean.
- Follow hotel and restaurant standard.
- Set up and closing bar as per standard.
- Follow up on any guest request.
- Serve our guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Report any incidents, glitches, complain to the supervisor/ manager.
- Prepare cutleries, glassware and set up for the following service period.
- Report any additional items needed for operation to the supervisor.
- Concocting drinks, following hotel and GAP standard.
- Ensure Micros is set up accordingly and proper serving period is in use.
- Ensure all bills are charged accordingly and reports are ready for the supervisor.
- Follow up on any specials request (Birthday, Anniversary, etc)
- Ensure all glassware are ready for the next service period.
- Ensure all stock and par level are met to standard.
Key Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, RBS) required or willingness to obtain.
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including cocktail recipes and mixology techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of drink ingredients, preparation, and presentation.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry cases of beverages or kegs (up to 50 lbs).
- Requires long periods of standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are typical; late-night hours may be required.
- Exposure to loud music and occasionally crowded or energetic atmospheres.
