Position: Sustainability Performance Intern
Base Location: Puligny-Montrachet, France
Department: Sustainability
Reporting to: Director of Sustainability
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Sustainability Initiatives: Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability initiatives across the property.
- EarthCheck Certification: Provide support in advancing our EarthCheck certification by ensuring compliance with relevant standards and conducting necessary reporting.
- Data Monitoring: Track and analyse sustainability metrics, contributing to regular reports and identifying areas for improvement.
- Internal Communication: Facilitate internal communication efforts related to sustainability, ensuring that all departments are informed and engaged with ongoing initiatives. Support the development of sustainability tools and contribute to training and communications materials.
- Responsible Supply Chain Management: Assist in promoting and managing responsible supply chain practices, liaising with suppliers to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
- Collaboration Across Departments: Work closely with various departments including operations, procurement and guest services to support the incorporation of sustainability into all aspects of hotel operations.
Profit and Skills:
- Student currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree (or equivalent, Bac+4/5) from a business school, engineering school, political science institute, or university (Master’s I/II). Specialisation or strong academic focus on Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Circular Economy, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), or related fields is preferred.
- Understanding of ESG frameworks and data: A good understanding of environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles and standards. Strong data management skills, including proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, data visualisation, data analysis).
- Language Skills: Fluency in both English and French is required.
- Passion for Sustainability: A strong interest in environmental and social sustainability, with a desire to make a positive impact. Familiarity with the hotel and hospitality industry would be an advantage.
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in France (EU/EEA citizenship or valid student visa).
