The Essential End of Year: Perth

PERTH’S TOP EXHIBITIONS, SHOWS AND CONCERTS

Here, we share monthly highlights in Perth's cultural calendar from now until the end of 2025, including a special October celebration of the tenth anniversary of The State Buildings - home to COMO The Treasury

OCTOBER

To celebrate ten years since The State Buildings and COMO The Treasury opened, a series of special events will be taking place throughout the month. From October 8th to 12th, world-renowned pastry chef, Cédric Grolet, will take over COMO The Treasury's Cape Arid Rooms, curating an afternoon tea menu with a selection of his iconic sweet and savoury creations.

From October 22nd to 23rd, Massimo Bottura's famous Torno Subito restaurant group will take over Post, delivering a limited-time menu honouring 1960s Italy, including signature dishes such as TK and TK.

Australian artist Phillippa Nikulinsky will lead a private guided tour of her studio and garden on October 23rd, ending with afternoon tea at the Cape Arid Rooms, where her work is showcased on the walls.

On October 26th, you can make the most of Global Champagne Day with a one-off Champagne brunch in COMO The Treasury's wine cellar with Emma Farrelly, Director of Wine.

From October 29th to 30th, Chef Malcolm Lee of Michelin-starred Pangium Singapore will helm the kitchen at Wildflower, bringing classic Singaporean and Peranakan flavours to the menu, interwoven with the restaurant's usual local, produce-driven ethos.

NOVEMBER

From November 21st to 25th, the first Test of the 2025-26 Ashes Series will take place at Optus Stadium. This hugely anticipated cricket match will see Australia and England battle it out on the pitch for a stepping stone towards the coveted Ashes trophy.

A scenic drive from Perth, the Pair'd Wine Festival in the Margaret River region is well worth visiting between November 20th to 23rd. Some of Western Australia's finest wines are made in this area, with the festival offering an exciting roster of wine tastings, culinary pairings, and discussions with top sommeliers.

On November 29th, the Christmas Twilight Perth Makers Market will take over the Supreme Court Gardens Square, with over 80 local artisans selling their wares, accompanied by live music, street food trucks, and plenty of festive spirit.

DECEMBER

The Spilt Milk Festival heads to Perth on December 7th, with headliners including Kendrick Lamar, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Sara Landry, and ScHoolboy Q. With genres spanning R&B, indie, hip-hop, and electronic, this is one of Australia's most anticipated day festivals of the year.

The Ballet of Lights will perform Sleeping Beauty at the Octagon Theatre on December 12th. This family-friendly, 60-minute show uses illuminated costumes to narrate the story of Sleeping Beauty in a dazzling light spectacle.

Scottish crooner Lewis Capaldi will be performing at the RAC Arena on December 17th. After an emotional comeback set at the UK's Glastonbury festival in June, guests can expect to hear Capaldi at his best - and likely a rendition of his chart-topping new single, Survive.

End the year with our Christmas Day and New Year's Eve feasts across Post, Petition, the State Buildings Wine Room, Wine Merchant, Long Chim and Wildflower to experience the magic of the holiday season.
