Perched on Phuket’s quieter east coast, with views stretching across the limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay, COMO Point Yamu has always been a place made for slowing down. Its Cleanse Programme leans into that setting, offering guests a three-day stay to reset; not through willpower, but through an unhurried rhythm of eating light and moving gently.
A simple, non-invasive body composition scan at the beginning and end of the stay offers a snapshot of each guest’s starting point and helps shape the programme around individual needs. "After just three days, we don't expect to see dramatic changes in body fat or muscle mass," says Tukta, Wellness Supervisor at COMO Point Yamu. What tends to shift instead are smaller markers — hydration, water retention, bloating — as guests start eating more mindfully and giving their digestion some support.
Meals
Food sits at the heart of the programme. Developed by dietitian Eve Persak, the Cleanse menus are plant-forward and built around two approaches: a Beginner menu of modestly sized meals and snacks for those who want a fuller sense of nourishment, and an Advanced menu that leans further into digestive reset — infused teas, fresh juices, smoothies, yoghurts and soups, with bone broths and coconut water keeping guests hydrated throughout.
For those following the Beginner programme, the days settle into an easy pattern: lemon and ginger water at sunrise, a cold-pressed juice to suit the day ahead, a light breakfast, a turmeric-and-lemongrass bone broth mid-morning, a fresh salad at lunch, and a dinner of poached snapper or free-range chicken with lightly-cooked vegetables. On the Advanced programme, solid meals give way to lighter liquid nourishment. Whichever route guests choose, every juice is made fresh with no added sugar, honey, agave or concentrated fruit — just colourful vegetables, herbs and lightly sweet fruits sourced close to home.
For Persak, it's a chance to step away from habits that creep in during busy periods — eating for convenience, reaching automatically for something sweet — and reset around “real food with real flavours.” The programme isn’t about denial, Tukta agrees. “We want to emphasise whole-food nutrition for health, rather than simply reducing food intake. The guests feel nourished and energised, and are able to participate in physical activity as usual."
Movement
Throughout the day, movement is encouraged at whatever pace feels right. Guests can join the daily schedule of yoga or mat Pilates, try their hand at Muay Thai, or opt for one-on-one personal training, introduced to give the programme a more structured, guided approach to exercise.
"The emphasis is not on pushing performance or achieving maximum intensity,” says Tukta, “instead, we focus on improving movement quality, restoring balance, supporting recovery, and helping guests reconnect with their bodies."
It's no surprise then, that guests often come away from the programme feeling inspired. While they may notice improvements in energy, digestion, hydration, or reduced bloating, the more enduring takeaway is a renewed motivation to carry new habits home. "The greatest outcome is that they leave with practical knowledge, healthier habits, and the confidence to continue making better food choices upon returning home,” says Tukta. “The lasting transformation begins after the programme, not during the three days."
