ANDREA CURRY
Andrea has been teaching yoga since 2000, when she joined the Peace Corps on the tiny island of Yap in Micronesia, teaching English and yoga to children and adults in her village. Her yogic studies then took her to Japan and Thailand, where she completed an extensive teacher training with David Goulet and Marina Hallerman. From 2007 to 2010, Andrea was also the resident yoga teacher at our sister property, COMO Parrot Cay.
Andrea’s practice draws inspiration from ashtanga, vinyasa, anusara, iyengar and Forrest yoga traditions, influenced by Seane Corn, Erich Schiffmann, David Swenson, Nikki Costello, Abbie Galvin, Elena Brower and Noah Maze. Andrea is passionate about helping students cultivate a daily practice from a place that is open, grounded and present.
Andrea lives with her husband and two boys in The Bahamas where she teaches private and small group classes.
