Position: Activities Receptionist
Base Location: Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands

Reports into: Activities Manager
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform and not finish work before scheduled finishing time as stated in employee handbook
- Interact comfortably with guests and be the first impression they get of the Activities Team
- Answer the reception phone
- Take Bookings for guests making sure all information if recorded properly
- Assist with daily and monthly reports as required
- Understand and be able to explain all activities available to guests and promote
- Provide guests with snorkel rental equipment and inform about snorkelling practices
- Assist around all Activities areas as and when required
- Attend meetings and training as required by manager
- Able to work with minimum supervision, maintain composure under pressure and be responsive to changing circumstances
- Make your guests satisfaction your first priority
- Resolve all problems encountered in a responsible and transparent way
- Inform Management of any problems
- Approach your superior for assistance should problems exceed your level of competence
- Maintain a good team moral and safe work environment
- To participate fully as a COMO Parrot Cay team member
- Show guests focused and a service attitude
- Follow safe water sports & activities practices
- Make time to attend to guest needs & queries
- Assist with preparation of equipment
- Ensure hotel guests and your colleagues can depend on you when problems arise or when decisions are needed
- Actively support your colleagues in order for the resort to reach the standards which we are committed to as a team
- Make our guests’ satisfaction your first priority
- Be alert for the safety of our guests and their belongings
- Respect privacy and confidentiality of all our guests at all times
- Show a positive attitude at all times whilst on duty and be ready to support any colleague that needs assistance
- Participate as an equal member in daily operation, and actively seek extra duties, to always look at improving services and teamwork
- Never leave the reception unattended during working hours
- Check with your Supervisor/Manager before leaving to ensure all duties are completed
- Report any guest incidents to Activities Manager no matter how insignificant it might seem
- Attend meetings and actively participate in minimum four hours training a month as designated by manager or resort management in improve service and standards we can offer the guests and better the team and yourself
- Follow all COMO Core Standards and rules as stated in the Employee Handbook
Job Requirements:
- Live in North/Middle Caicos and have own transport to sandy point and not rely on schedule bus due to work shift hours
- Highly interactive and outgoing personality
- Ability to portray professional public and human relations skills at all times.
- Clear communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications i.e. Microsoft Office
- Speak, read and write English proficiently.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, communicator and team player
- Be physically fit to be able to carry out all day-to-day operational requirements.
- Ideally be able to swim but not required for Reception work.
