Security Officer

Position: Security Officer
Base Location: Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands
Department: Security
Reports into: Security Manager
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Adequately prepare security-related incident reports, log book entries, gas logs, and other required paperwork
- Protect and preserve the safety and security of all guests, visitors, and staff of COMO Parrot Cay
- Take “good faith” actions as it relates directly to the safety and security of all guests, visitors, and staff of COMO Parrot Cay
- Conduct patrol of assigned COMO Parrot Cay property by patrol
- Investigates and/or reports hazards, and unusual or suspicious circumstances to Security Supervisor
- Assists any persons, such as guests, visitors, or staff on COMO Parrot Cay grounds needing directions or COMO Parrot Cay information, according to COMO Parrot Cay directives
- Escort people/property to the desired destination when monies, documents, or the safety of property or persons are a concern
- Responds to alarm and dispatched calls; decide what actions to take based on situation, facts known, and position limitations
- Decide when the incident requires a written report; decide which report form to use and submit to the supervisor
- Maintain confidentiality of information as it relates to COMO Parrot Cay
Key Requirements:
- Stand for long periods of time, walk, run, and lift over 25 lbs. while still being vigilant and alert
- Work various work schedules (nights, days, holidays, and weekends)
- Pass Minimum Physical Standards Test, yearly
