Job Purpose:

To manage and execute sales activities for COMO Metropolitan Bangkok, focusing on identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, managing key accounts, and collaborating with the sales team to meet revenue targets. The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth, maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel's sales efforts. This role includes achieving revenue goals for rooms, events, and other hotel services, assisting the Director of Sales in leading the Sales team, overseeing department operations, and acquiring new accounts and business development opportunities


Tasks/Responsibilities:

Sales Management:

  • Establish a regular core pattern for Sales calls to key & prospect accounts.
  • Develop, refine and maintain a comprehensive mailing list for the above-mentioned
  • Secure and develop new accounts, maximizing the potential and productivity of existing accounts within assigned industries/territories.
  • Develop an action plan to address account needs and demands, including tactical plans for CVENT accounts and other key accounts, reviewed quarterly with CDOS/CDOSM.
  • Establish and monitor sales goals, ensuring proper handling of correspondence and maintaining good rapport with other departments.
  • Organize and attend familiarization trips for key corporate bookers, convention organizers, meeting planners and other industry personnel.
  • Seek opportunities to continually improve client service, monitoring product and performance standards and ensuring action is taken when standards are not met.
  • Act on potential client complaints and feedback, reporting to the appropriate personnel.
  • Travel to trade shows and overseas sales calls as required by the CDOS/CDOSM.
  • Work closely with marketing and revenue management teams to develop compelling sales promotions, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in all sales activities and work in line with the sales and marketing plan for the various market segments in order to exceed hotel revenue and targets.
  • Actively participate in regular forecast meetings to keep associates and management informed, fostering two-way communication and encouraging creativity and initiative.
  • Ensure alignment between sales initiatives and overall business objectives.
  • Assist CDOS/CDOSM in the development and implementation of the annual marketing plan.

Event and Administrative Management:

  • Represent COMO Metropolitan Bangkok at industry events, exploring business opportunities through networking (e.g., National Day Function, Chamber Networking).
  • Finalize event details, corporate meetings, conferences, and outside catering requirements, coordinating with the Operations Department.
  • Conduct weekly coordination meetings with the Operations Department to discuss group requirements and special events.
  • Respond to guests' and clients' needs and requests within 24 hours.
  • Draft business proposals addressing clients' specific needs and requirements within 24 hrs.
  • Release the Group Resume/ Action Plan outlining details on room accommodations, meeting requirements, and meal arrangements at least 7 days prior to group arrival.
  • Send thank you letters to past event clients along with guest survey forms to solicit feedback, evaluate performance, and improve service.
  • Submit a weekly sales itinerary, sales call reports, and monthly productivity reports.
  • Maintain an updated company/contact profile with current key information and initiate sales activities and events to build customer loyalty and increase patronage.
  • Ensure files, correspondence, and other relevant business documents are maintained accurately.
  • Fully utilize the CENDYN Programmed as it relates to S&M department.

Other Tasks

  • Anticipate guest needs through observation and provide prompt, efficient service personally or by coordinating with other associates.
  • Align your conduct with COMO's Vision, consistently striving to exceed expectations of both internal and external guests.
  • Uphold COMO's Cares culture by consistently demonstrating the standards to guests and colleagues.
  • Ensure familiarity with COMO's Loyalty Program, Guest Satisfaction Index Surveys, and maintain guest history records.
  • Ensure recovery calls are dealt with in an appropriate manner.
  • Respond to all client queries within 24 hours of initial contact.
  • Monitor account activity, adjust as necessary, and negotiate contracts with approved suppliers.
  • Establish a good rapport with the Team Member of other departments.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure exceptional customer service standards are met, enhancing guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Coordinate all department operations to deliver services that exceed guest expectations in line with COMO's standards.
  • Ensure compliance with S.O.P. and fulfil any reasonable requests made by management

General:

  • Ensure individual style, working practices, and conduct align with COMO's Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Enhances team morale and spirit by cultivating strong relationships with hotel colleagues.
  • Undertakes any additional tasks as instructed by the superior.

  • Attends meetings and training sessions as required by the superior.

  • Ensures that all activities are conducted with honesty, integrity, and in line with Thai law.
