Junior Electrician

Position: Junior Electrician
Base Location: Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands
Department: Engineering
Reports into: Chief Engineer

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Assist in installing wiring systems, electrical fixtures, and control equipment.
• Support troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults and equipment.
• Run conduit, pull wire, and assist in connecting circuits and outlets.
• Perform routine inspections of electrical systems and report issues.
• Help maintain tools, equipment, and job site organization and cleanliness.
• Follow instructions from senior electricians or supervisors to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to local electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Participate in electrical testing, measurements, and system verifications.
• Keep records of work performed and materials used as instructed
• Attend training and safety meetings as required.

Key Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and tools.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina for handling tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic problem-solving and communication skills.
• May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or in varying weather conditions.
• Requires use of hand and power tools; standing, lifting, bending, and climbing.
