Security Officer

Position: Security Officer
Base Location: Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands
Department: Security
Reports into: Security Manager

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Prepare adequately security related incident reports, log book entries, gas logs, and other required paperwork.

• Protect and preserve the safety and security of all guests, visitors, and staff of Parrot Cay Resort and Spa

• Take “good faith” actions as it relates directly to the safety and security of all guests, visitors, and staff of Parrot Cay Resort and Spa.

• Conduct patrol of assigned Parrot Cay property by patrol.

• Investigate and/or report hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances to Security Supervisor.

• Assist any persons, such as, guests, visitors, or staff on Parrot Cay Resort and Spa grounds needing directions or Parrot Cay Resort information, according to Parrot Cay directives.

• Escort people/property to desired destination when monies, documents or safety of property or persons are a concern.

• Respond to alarm and dispatched calls; decides what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations.

• Decide when incident requires written report; decides which report form to use and submits to supervisor.

• Maintain confidentiality of information as it relates to Parrot Cay Resort and Spa.

Key Requirements:

• Stand for long periods of time, walk, run, and lift over 25 lbs, while still being vigilant and alert
• Work various work schedules (nights, days, holidays, and weekends) Pass Minimum, Physical Standards Test, yearly
