Position: IT Assistant Manager

Reporting to: IT Manager

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and maintaining the hotel's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi, workstations, and business applications
  • Support the operation and troubleshooting of hospitality-specific systems (e.g., PMS, POS, IPTV, VoIP, guest Wi-Fi, and conference technology)
  • Oversee system updates, patches, and data backup routines to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime as directed by the IT Manager
  • Provide timely, professional technical support to staff and guests, ensuring issues are resolved effectively
  • Monitor the IT helpdesk, track requests, and escalate complex incidents to the IT Manager
  • Enforce IT security standards, including firewalls, antivirus, access controls, and data protection protocols as directed by the IT Manager
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and support the implementation of corrective measures
  • Ensure compliance with hotel brand standards, corporate IT policies, and data privacy regulations
  • Supervise, train, and mentor IT team members, fostering a culture of service excellence
  • Act as deputy to the IT Manager during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of operations
  • Collaborate with hotel management and vendors to deliver IT projects, upgrades, and system rollouts as directed by the IT Manager
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring departmental budgets, procurement processes, and asset inventories
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, and procedures
  • Provide regular reports on IT performance, incidents, and ongoing initiatives to the IT Manager
