 Reporting to: Head Concierge / Front Office Manager
Role
As a Luggage Porter, you will be providing an efficient, polite and courteous service on arrival and departure of guests in the Hotel, helping carry their luggage in/out of the hotel and to/from their rooms. You will assist the Concierge with guests’ requests, running messages and errands as required whilst also ensuring the door area, reception and lobby are maintained to a high standard at all times.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
-  Greet, assist and help direct guests on arrival or departure from the hotel, and with their luggage 
-  Show guests the facilities of the room, including how to work the TV and air conditioning unit 
-  Handle, log and store luggage accordingly 
-  Ensure the luggage room is kept in an orderly state 
-  Keep the Lobby in an orderly state, ensuring all areas are tidy, clean and well kept 
-  Help assist the Doorman when required 
-  Order and deliver newspapers, housekeeping and Valet duties 
-  Park cars in/return cars from the hotel garage (if in possession of a driver’s licence) 
Essential Attributes:
- Previous experience as Luggage Porter / Porter in luxury hotel setting
- Excellent social interaction and communication skills
- High level of organisational skills
- Be familiar with Hotel products and all departments within the Hotel
- Proactive approach with self-driven attitude and a team spirit
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Flexible with tasks carried out and shifts worked as part of the rota covers 24 hours over 7 days
Desirable Attributes:
- Good general knowledge of London to assist guests with their bearings
- Provision of driving licenses (as you may be asked to assist with the parking of guests' cars)
