Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Reporting to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform
- Attending daily team meetings, applying information to daily tasks and asking questions when unsure
- Being responsible for facilitating the children's program for children ages 4-12 years old
- Engaging in free play with individual children and groups.
- Providing 1:1 babysitting when requested by guests
- Answering guest queries pertaining to day-to-day operations and activities in a professional and timely manner
- Updating and reassuring parents if and when they have any concerns
- Safeguarding children indoors and outdoors and ensuring that they are signed in and out as they enter and exit Play by COMO
- Complying with opening and closing checklists for Play by COMO operation including sweeping, mopping, cleaning the bathroom and outdoor areas
- Assisting end month inventory and daily disinfection of toys and other related items
- Maintaining a positive attitude whilst on duty and show a willingness to support colleagues when it is needed
- Brainstorming ideas from time to time to develop a balanced and engaging program for children and families in accordance with Play by COMO principles and incorporating COMO's brand pillars of cuisine and wellness
- Communicating and coordinating activities to relevant departments beforehand to ensure smooth operation
- Soliciting feedback from families and children joining the activity
- Raising awareness by promoting program of activities to attending guests both parents and children before and after operation
- Remaining polite and courteous with colleagues, children and their parents
- Complying with record keeping requirements in respect of statutory regulated training activities, food hygiene, health and safety
- Seeking assistance when faced with difficult problems or situations not previously encountered
Key requirements:
- A high level of patience, empathy, and understanding is crucial for working with children and their families
- Strong communication skills are needed to interact effectively with children, parents, and other staff members
- A strong commitment to ensuring the health and safety of children is paramount, including the ability to follow and implement safety protocols
- The ability to handle reservations, manage activities, and maintain a tidy and safe environment is important
- Attendants must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team are often highlighted
