Position: Cluster Director of Sales - Maldives

Reporting to: Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and organise an effective sales team, including the development and coaching of team members to maximise hotel revenues and achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain and expand the customer base through new business development and strong client relationships.
  • Achieve sales and revenue objectives by contributing to strategic planning, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing effective sales initiatives.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance analysis, and recommendations to support business growth.
  • Recommend and drive revenue opportunities through market analysis, customer insights, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of sales and trade promotion activities.
  • Oversee business development across all assigned market segments and maintain accountability for commercial performance.
  • Manage client relationships, negotiations, and contractual agreements to secure business opportunities.
  • Set, monitor, and review sales targets to ensure the achievement of hotel revenue objectives.
  • Ensure sales activities, group enquiries, and commercial practices are conducted in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners and stakeholders within assigned markets.
  • Ensure the effective management of sales information, business records, and relevant documentation systems.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments to achieve overall business goals.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 year experience in sales department in a position of manager or above, with minimum 2 years in a Department Head or above position.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English.
  • Excellent sales, strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a changing market
  • Analytical approach to problem solving, ability to “think outside of the box”.
  • Ability to analyse financial information and market data.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively without supervision. Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm, being detail orientated and hands-on.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead, motivate and develop associates.
  • Experience in groups and events sales
  • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems and degree/ certification in a relevant field will be added advantage.
