Position: Bar Server
Base Location: Parrot Cay
Department: Food and Beverage
Reporting to: Restaurant Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet guests courteously and present menus for food and beverages.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly to guests at lounge chairs, cabanas, or tables.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and ingredients to answer guest inquiries.
- Check on guest satisfaction regularly and address any requests or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including clearing used dishes and wiping tables.
- Follow health, hygiene, and safety standards for outdoor food and beverage service.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Assist with setting up, restocking, and breaking down pool and beach service stations.
- Ensure guest areas have clean towels, menus, and amenities when applicable.
- Promote resort offerings and upsell premium services where appropriate.
Key Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in food and beverage or hospitality service (pool/beach setting preferred).
- Valid food handler's certification and responsible alcohol service certification (as required by local law).
- Ability to swim or be comfortable near water is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, outgoing demeanor with a polished, professional appearance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Ability to carry trays, walk on sand or poolside surfaces, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Team-oriented, punctual, and reliable.
- Outdoor pool and beach setting with exposure to sun, wind, and varying weather conditions.
- Requires standing, walking, and carrying trays for extended periods.
- Shift work may include weekends, holidays, and evenings.
